NON is an actress and artist whose creative range spans music, filmmaking, and art.
Her breakthrough voice acting role as Suzu in the 2016 animated feature In This Corner of the World earned her the Special Jury Prize at the 38th Yokohama Film Festival. In February 2022, NON wrote, directed, and starred in the feature film Ribbon, which was selected as a Special Invitation entry in the GALA Presentation section of the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival. In September of that same year, she received the award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role at the 46th Japan Academy Film Prize for her role in The Fish Tale. In February 2025, she appeared in the live-action drama Kanako’s Life as an Assassin on DMM TV. In the same year, she appeared in the Netflix film Bullet Train Explosion in April, the ABEMA original drama Miss King in September, and. the movies After the Quake and Climbing for Life in October. In her music career, NON released her third full-length album, Renarrate in September 2025. In the same month, she toured the album in four of Japan’s major cities. Furthermore, her creative work—which has continually pursued free expression by challenging conventional boundaries in acting, music, film, and art—was recognized in 2024 with the 16th Juzo Itami Award.
