[Nemuro City] Italian Restaurant Boschetto
Refined Italian cuisine, found at the edge of the world

Boschetto is an eye-catching restaurant that stands alone on a vast stretch of coast. The interior—renovated by the owners themselves from what was once a rider’s house (lodge for cyclists and motorcyclists) and eatery—is decorated with sacks of wheat and tins of tomatoes, creating a playful atmosphere that is full of out–of–the–ordinary charm. Locals come here to enjoy this atmosphere and the top-class cuisine. The menu centers on pizza and pasta, with a generous range of desserts and drinks. “We’re particular about everything,” owner-chef Mr. Koji Hayashi says matter-of-factly. Locally produced ingredients are used as much as possible, including seafood and venison from Nemuro, along with carefully–selected vegetables. The signature dish is Tomato Cream Spaghetti with Hanasaki Crab, topped with a whole, vibrantly colored Hanasaki crab. Just one bite of this dish, showcasing the richness of Nemuro’s prized crab, affirms that the journey here was well worth it. Boschetto Salad features an astonishing array of vegetables that change with the season and the day, along with hidden antipasto. Salads, pizza, and pasta are also available for take-out. The Lunch Course of the Day is another customer favorite.
